THE END OF THE WORLD PART ONE

- THE END OF THE WORLD PART ONE.
About a year and a half ago I took a photography class with one of my best friends Michael. The class was a good time, if a bit underwhelming. Not to impune the teaching skills of my professor. The class was online and late start, a challenging combination for any teacher. The class was a fantastic excuse to work creatively with the excellent photographer Michael Kinghorn.
I did make some good stuff.
I shot ten rolls of film in Norway over the winter of 2024.
Michael calls Goleta "The end of the world"
I got a small point and shoot in Norway. Lost it over the summer unfortunately.
It had a crystal date on it. A feature included in a lot of point and shoot cameras. I did not realize until far too many rolls of film deep that I could turn it off.
It's more noticable in some photos, but I don't hate it.
Even though the date is entirely wrong, it does mark the time in my life when I was taking these pictures.
I find Goleta to be an odd, hot, and empty place.
It is stunningly beautiful too.
Everywhere is.
